Japan Matsuri

Another photo heavy, personal post on Japan Matsuri, which took place last Sunday~

Look for the day~
lol, I looks pretty much the same on every photo xD I feel like curling my hair... it's been a really long time~
also replaced my usual red lipstick (Rimmel 058, Drop of Sherry) with Bourjois' Effect 3D lip gloss in no.08. It's really amazing~ colour like a lipstick with shine and moisture plus it's not too sticky. Can't say how long it stays thought cause once I go out I usually have little chances to look at myself xD
and OMG my blusher showed up on the picture! it's a miracle! xD

Deco Nails! finally xD
I've been too lazy to do anything for a very long time xD
They looked very cute, a bit too cute maybe. It was very hime-kei when I want something more sophisticated~ Just pink/cream seems to be the automatic choice with bows, pearls ans pink rhinestones xD

And off to the event we go~
The area we first went in was quite small, just between two buildings, with a lot of people... way too many people! xD It was very crowded~

Here walking between the stalls. Super packed xD It was hard to see anything. There was all sort of different things; snacks, little kimonos, books, cute stationeries, jewellery, lots of japanese societies and much, much more, I can't even remember most of it by now xD We walked around for a while trying to actually push through and see anything~

There were origami cranes everywhere~ so pretty! I love folding cranes (the only origami I can do xD), but they aren't this pretty and colourful.
With Nana and Tiff, we were forever looking for japanese Yoyo balloons (photo later), cause we saw many kids with them~ turned out there was more stalls than we originally thought hidden behind a scene. After we finally got our hands on the balloons, we walked into the Museum situated on the right to see if any events are taking place inside. Didn't really find anything, but going out through a different entrance we ended up on the other side (facing the London Eye), where some Karaoke event was taking place.

Our view~ It was up some stairs above the main passage, along Thames. There was more food stalls before, as can be seen on the left~

Forever on duh stairs~ xD
After sitting/standing there for a while (and being whistled and shouted at by some security guy to get off and clear the passage) we took the stairs down to... meet the penguin! xD

hahaha~ and here he is xD the angle doesn't really present him well~
then we realized there is lots of japanese food stalls all around, so it's time to eat!
(hope michelle doesnt mind me stealing photos of her fb o_o)

noming on my favourite - Karaage!
for those who don't know me personally, it's actually a rare sight to see me eating out xD I'm a very fussy eater and I HATE cold food (food that's originally made warm but is served cold), all the others got ready bento, but I found it totally disgusting since it wasn't warm anymore. But yes! my lucky day~ there was a stall with freshly made warm food! yay~ it was lovely ^__^

Candy Floss! OMG, didn't get any thought, cause there was something even more amazing next door~

Kakigori! / shaved ice with syrup
was quite full after the previous meal, so we shared a portion with Nana, chose strawberry syrup, it was quite good ^^ it was a very pleasant, new experience~

After we finished eating, just went on and sat down on the floor, cause hobo is the way in life~ xD
I'm playing with my balloon like the child I am~ xD
We sat for a bit talking (and Yik with Amy appeared out of nowhere o_o). Soon most people wanted to head home for various reasons, but I still had plenty of time left~ So after walking them to the station, me, Dayle and Nana went back to the first set of stalls to check out again the jewellery stall we spotted before (and bought something which I will show later in the post)

awesome Manga wall, when we first went by it was just the drawings xD now they were all covered up with writing, but it's still pretty cool imo~

And for a final picture from Matsuri, my lovely daughter Nana with her cute yukata (finally tied the right way, she was walking like a dead man all day xD) and balloon~

Now onto some photos I took at home with my treasures from the event xD

my yoyo balloon! kyan~ xD it's on a string and has a bit of water on the bottom, so it bounces up and down like a yoyo, it takes a bit of practise to get it straight and bounce of your hand properly, I struggled for a while xD Also we had to fish it out from a kiddie pool, with a hook on thin paper, I didn't really get how to do this, so my paper broke o__o but I still got a balloon~ XD

Now my Yubi purchases
first a beautiful Kanzashi pin~ Nana said you actually use it to pin your hair but I'm not sure how (other than the pen bun trick xD and that looks a bit weird imo), but it was sooo pretty I just had to buy one xD

same here~ just couldn't resist it.
I don't normally wear dangly earring, but the little crane just defeated me right away xD This is probably the most beautiful piece of jewellery I own *o* It also has Svarovski crystals I believe~

and on~
omg I can't wait for their online store to work, there is soooo much I want, the bracelets were gorgeous~

And some extra~
Essential Hair Mask~
Michelle brought it for me from Hong Kong! I wanted to get one for a while since Style Suzi and Xiaxue often recommend it~ the shipping cost on ebay was stopping me so far thought
but it's mine! the smell is aaaamazing~ I only used it once atm, so can't really say much, but it's very thick and moisturising ~ it does look very small compared to my Tresemme hair mask thought xD

and just as a little extra... Penguin-san~ xD since I didn't have a photo of him last time ^_^

Hope you enjoyed! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ

Going on a before uni, shopping trip this Sunday to Westfield, so there might be a post on that soon

Bubbi Brushes!

Hello, Hello~ This whole post with be dedicated to Bubbi Brushes! Received my set on Monday (12th), I placed my order on the 29th August and it was sent out 3rd September. So just over a week for the package to reach my doorstep~

here they are~ still in the wrap it came in, a pretty purple bag thingie~

and out!
omg, I was soooo excited! All the brushes are extremely soft but dense. The bristles are synthetic.
The set cost £30, which gives £5 per brush (individual brushes are £5-10 on the website)
I must say that is very affordable for good quality brushes, price pretty similar to the Sigma brushes.

So let's get closer to each brush separately~

Powder Brush
As the name suggests, the perfect brush for powder~
It's pretty big and very dense. The bristle are extremely soft (I can't stop touching it! *o*). It grabs the powder very well, giving a flawless finish~

the logo is so cute~

Dual Cover Brush
double sided brush~ with a end for foundation and concealer~
it's amazing!
I never used a brush for foundation before, but I'm not going back to finger application ever again~ Foundation stays on so much better, and dark circles are finally properly covered!
Flawless coverage, no streaks!

I washed the brush a few times (cause dried up foundation is just disgusting) and unfortunately the logo rubbed away >_< it's still slightly visible, but it annoyed me a bit~ >3<

close up on both ends~
yet again, the bristles are soft, but well packed, giving maximum coverage~

concealer end~
the size allows to easily reach any place, blends everything perfectly~

Dual Eyes Brush
another double sided brush! I really love those, cause you save cost and space. but I really don't want to store them like the others in a container, cause one side will get dirty / squashed.
Both the ends were perfectly white but I used it so they are brown now xD

smaller end
perfect for applying colour on the crease and adding definition.
I love it!
it's super dense, so it applies colour with just one sweep~

eye-shadow / blending end
I have very small eyelid space so it's a bit big for precise shadow application, but good for a quick wash of colour, works amazing for blending and highlighting

Angled Liner Brush
It's good for applying colour, eyeliner style, giving a softer look. Can also be used on lower lash line or eyebrows (which I haven't tested yet). I'm not so sure it could be used for gel eyeliner if you want a crisp and sharp look cause it seems a bit too large, but I would need to try it out, to judge xD

Multi Retractable Brush
The Wonder Brush! xD
no seriously, it's amazing!
just look at it~ just the design is enough to buy it xD A perfect travel brush~

The lid comes off, and you find a retractable red piece that holds the bristles together.

If you fold it all the way down, you get a great powder or blush brush. It's about half the size of the powder brush.

and the best part~ you can adjust the red part to make it into a dense contouring brush! how multifunctional!

And that's all the brushes I have~ I really wanted the HD Flawless brush, but the dual cover brush is working so well I'm not sure if I need it xD
Anyway, those get 5 stars from me! and I would recommend them to anyone, especially if you can't afford expensive brushes. All available from bubzbeaty's shop~

Hope you enjoyed~ (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ

Thames Festival

Uhh with work everyday from 9 am I find it really hard to get to writing a proper post now >< but I want to~ xD Yet again I think telling the story through photos will work best xD
So this time about Thames festival, which took place the weekend 11-12th September. Honestly we all went mostly for the Korean section xD and were not let down ~^__^~

wearing my new black lenses (review soon) and hair re dyed again~  it's time for my roots thought xD
(I hate how small "large" photo size is, but "X-Large" is too big, anyone knows how to get around this?)

For a start we met 1pm at Westminster, which failed as there was only 3 of us for an hour or more, once Nana finally arrived we decided to move on and meet any more people later. And in fact once we came up to London Eye we met Gayle (kyaaaa! I haven't seen my lovely sister for good 5 months! since she was in Japan, Spain and forever working xD). I really didn't understand the concept of this festival... and never did in the end xD There wasn't anything particularly interesting as we walked along the Thames (maybe except those freaking weird paper bag hats so many people wore o_O, and countless food stalls, if that interests you~).

and here we are, walking forever~ xD

But after a looong time, and countless stops, we finally reached the Korean section xD
It wasn't anything big but we were satisfied~ fist thing was a stall with some Cube merch, for very low prices (I don't really care, but Racheal was spazzing xD), next to it was Karaoke/Norebang. Popular Kpop songs were playing in the back as we inspected the various attractions.

there were quite a few of those life size, idol cut-outs, which have proven to be very popular

Big Bang, looking absolutely stunning

what the heck is wrong with my posing xD
but 2NE1 is amazing!

yeah spazzing over GD and looking totally awkward xD

Racheal with the girls~ xP

Nana and Racheal enjoying B2ST

hahaha
Nana looking like the 6th member of Big Bang xD
and Faye joined us!!

4 minute with the blue princess Fia~

har har a massive ball for everyone to sign xD

managed to snap a photo with Gayle, in the horrible wind xD

OMG
this... thing!
it was soooo freaking cute xD xD we were extremely excited <cute overload>
there was a tiny stall next to it with plush animals! not only a Yoohoo! We were standing there forever trying to decided what to get~ The key chains were only £2! =O

And this is my one:
yes, it's the orignal character xD I couldn't resist him, was also considering getting the super cute flying squirrel. His name is Okabe (or Rin-chan!)
 I got Nana a penguin, and I can't remember what Faye had >< (why didn't I take any photo's there? o_o)

but with the key chain everyone got a phone charm free! =O
he is also a screen cleaner! xD attached it to my camera, since I already have a phone charm.
It's pink so it should probably be a girl xD Let's name it Ruka-chan (Rukako)

After leaving the Korean section we decided it's very much time to eat xD Therefore we walked up to Waterloo and took a bus back to out usual spot - Leicester Square ^^ We were headed for a Korean restaurant but it was closed for another hour so chose Chinese instead~ Afterwards (when the rain was pouring like crazy all of sudden) some headed home, and in a smaller group we went for purikura! (every week now! ) We spent over an hour if not two there xD It's just so much fun... and we are so bad at decorating (~^∀^~)

Inside the machine! With the forever awesome music xD

hahaha, Racheal totally not aware that I'm taking a photo xD

squashing in the frame~

now let's decorate! Fayle and Nana take on the mission~

Work hard Art students! xD

and the result~
haha
those girls are always so creative xD

and some polaroid photo's to finish off~
with sister Racheal~

with my bf, Dayle <3

and reunited after months, Gayle~
and she is going off far to uni now ;___;

Well I thoroughly enjoyed this day~ We are rolling out again this weekend for Japan Matsuri~

Hope you enjoyed! I have some more small posts coming up soon! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ
