Hyper Japan and birthday~

Omg late, late! I haven’t posted in waaay too long (/≧o≦)/ but with my nan here and a lot of things happening I really had no time (・,・) now I’m so behind, and have so much to write, I don’t know where to start XD
For this post my bday weekend xD (that is 23rd/24th)
OMG I’M 20 NOW!!! (॓[]॔) <dies>

Starting with HYPER, which took place in London last weekend, I went on the Saturday~ 

mah face~ xD decided to follow the no-heat challenge for my hair xD so this is my totally natural hair~ air dried (^▽^*)ﾉ and horrible roots ( ￣っ￣) ... but got them done last Tuesday ( ﾟ▽ﾟ) also my fringe is looking less awkward now xD it still has its bad moments but it's growing okay xD 

and outfit of the day~ the temperature is pretty good, but it was really windy, also wore a long cream cardigan~ (but it was sooo hot inside the venue)
...i need to clean that mirror xD

Decided to meet people at 12:30, expecting to get in around 1pm, look around and see the Kanon gig at 2pm. Didn't really work out like that... The last edition of Hyper in October, was quite small and having the tickets, we got in under 30 minutes (thought the queue for people with no tickets was quite longer). This time the venue was muuuuch bigger, and the tickets sold out o__o turned out it was also oversold and the queue was barely moving as they were fighting the mass of people~ And so we stood in the queue fooorever (thankfully joined some friends already in it xD or would have taken even longer), and managed to get in exactly point 2pm and ruuun for Kanon’s show ^___^ we were all really concerned we’d juuust miss it, but made it perfectly xD

Really enjoyed the show but I stood at the back and didn’t see that well(¬ ∆ ¬) really brought back memories... haven’t listened to her in a while xD but I adore her voice, and she's soooo cute <3
Afterwards we managed to join with some people that came earlier and started going around, must say this place was huuuge~ really proper (~^∀^~)

not really much to write apart for – it was super fun ^_^ in fact I enjoyed it more than Expo, since I have been going to that for years~ it felt different and new and I loved every moment (well maybe not so much the queuing, but it was still fun with everyone xD) 

with Faye and Anna~ hair/face looking progressively more horrid with the day xD ...standard  (¬ 3 ¬) 

and with a large chunk of our group xD haha everyone looks sooo cool in those sunglasses…(ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ* they were giving them away  (~^∀^~)

Afterwards we went to eat... and walked forever to find any place, thanks to Fia’s amazing sense of direction xD Ended up in Pizza Hut... as it was the first thing we saw <starving>  and then we had a cake! (which Fia brought <3) 

and my awesome loot for the day~ there was a stall with £3 Tokyopop manga <3 would get even more if I wasn't stopped (#'ε´#)  xD also got my hands on the new volume of Kabato <3 and finally got Kamikaze Girls cheap, love that movie xD 

Spend the actual bday day with my boyfriend~ went to his place and watched Evangelion 1.11 (again for me xD thought I realized a forgot a lot already), didn’t have enough time to watch the second one ( ´ω`)  (which is the most epic movie eeeeever! need to get a DVD copy). Went back to central to eat at Wetherspoon, took aaaages thought~ cause Dayle is a lazy biatch and lives in the middle of nowhere xD also had a panic attack on the way there, after being attacked by some mental flies (*´Д`)  Random fun times~ not much to write xD

But yeah that was an awesome, awesome, awesome birthday weekend (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*  Thanks to all my amazing UNICRORNS~

and as the best bday present ever (from myself xD) I found a package on my doorstep with....

the original Hatsune Miku GSC figure!! <dies> omg omg omg this figure was my dream since day one of my collecting *o* the most beautiful thing ever~ and she got a re-release now, and its mine MIIIIINE ( *▽*) 

finally parents gave me money to get myself a digital camera (I want one to carry around with me everyday since my SLR isn't very portable xD), and choose this~ Panasonic Lumix FS16 in pink~ 

still need to order it xD but I'm pretty much decided.

Small sale haul~

Decide to take nan to town centre yesterday, and of course ended up shopping xD there are some epic sales on now, so couldn't miss it xD Planning to go again tomorrow as Republic on top of awesome sale prices is having the 25% off everything offer till the end of the week ^__^

Now Primark~ (not really sales, but primark prices are better than sale xD)

tan shorts! (or as the label describes - Chino Shorts). found a whole section with shorts in my primark o__o resisted the urge to buy it all, and just grabbed this one xD also wanted brown shorts for a while, only have jeans coloured~ 

and on~ cause you can't really tell how they look lying flat~ (excuse the awkward zippier and tags still on)

don't usually like this type of shoes but the pattern was super pretty, and they are very comfy, so grabbed a pair since it's cheap xD

I'm not a fan of flip flops at all xD but you never know when you might need a pair~ and blue <3 

this are actually my mums xD but thought I would share~ I wanted them but that plastic always gives me blisters ><" (plus unfortunately shoes are one of the few things we can't share since they sizes don't match xD)

And a quick look into Superdrug~

Have been using Tresemme Hair Masque for a long time~ it's one of my favourite, but it's quite expensive so I always look out for an offer xD It was 2 for £4.99 (which is usually the price for one), so grabbed it without a second thought~

Also run out if nail polish remover xD never used Cutex before, so decided to give it a try~ (my nails have been absolutely horrid and fragile when I was using "elegant touch" >__<)

Was hopping to check out eylure's bottom lashes, cause I love them on Eilish~ but they didn't have them, will look into Boots tomorrow ^___^

Circle Lenses and all you need to know before getting a pair!

And finally~ Circle Lenses!!

This post will mainly focus on lenses in general; where to get them, how to take care and such~ Will also make another on all the lenses I owned so far with photos ^_^ If you have been wearing lenses for a long time  this probably won't interest you at all, but I get questions a lot of questions, so I hope this helps some people who want to try out circle lenses ^__^ 

Also note I am no expert~ I’m sure I make a lot of mistakes! It’s all based on months of research I did before getting my first circle lenses and two year experience in wearing them.

What are circle lenses?

They are coloured contacts that are meant to create and illusion of a larger iris; making the eyes appear more doll-like and defined.  Circle lenses come in variety of sizes (diameter), starting from 14mm (when your actual iris is about 12/13 mm). Nowadays bigger and bigger sizes are becoming popular (up to 16+ mm!!).

Most circle lenses have a life span of 1 year (after opening the bottle), if taken care of properly. Prices range from $10 – 25, if it’s $30+ - keep searching, it’s a rip-off~

Circle lenses usually come in optical powers from 00.00 to -10.00, thought some come only in plano (00.00) 

Circle lenses aren’t as comfortable, as regular, clear lenses (at least in my experience). Usually when you get contacts, you have your eye measured to find the base curve, however circle lenses are universal with a base curve of 8.6mm, and yes this means they aren’t perfect (like clothes in “one-size”), you might find they shift around a bit. They also have a lover water content ~40-60% which prolongs the life span. You will feel them! I remember when I first started wearing circle lenses, I had a hard time, it would shift around and I could feel it all the time, but after wearing them a lot, you get used to them and completely forget (except for the moments when your eyes are dry and it gets blurry, or there is something on the lens)       

Circle Lenses aren’t meant for everyday wear!! Lower water content = less oxygen getting to the eye. They shouldn’t be worn more than 8 hours - thought I admit I have sinned and I usually wear them for at least 10 hours,  going up to 15 hours xD but I only wear them maybe 2-4 times a month.  It is recommended to wear them no more than 2-3 times a week~ (give your eyes a rest!) And obviously never sleep in your lenses, most likely you won’t be able to open your eyes in the morning - they will dry out on your eye, if you try to take them out you can rip your cornea (use eye-drops first to  moist them).

And please, PLEASE never share your lenses!  You're just asking for an eye infection~

Circle lenses are just as safe as any other lenses! It’s how you take care of them that will determine if you encounter any eye problems!

When you receive your lenses

After opening the vials put them in fresh solution and soak for at least 6 hours. Don’t put them in right away! The lenses are stored in preservative to prolong the shelf life and it will burn your eyes!

Solution

To wash and store the lenses use multi purpose contact solution for soft lenses (I use the Baush&Lomb ReNu) do not use saline solution! It can be used to rinse lenses, but will not clean then properly or remove bacteria, and if you store them they will become weak and fall apart soon! 

Note that once you open a bottle it should be disposed off in 3 months, since I don’t wear contacts so often I buy the travel set; which gives me 2 small bottles of solution and 2 extra lens cases. You do go through solution very quickly thought; it can be quite expensive (if you clean lenses as much as I do xD). 

Make sure your lenses always have fresh solution! This can be a bit of a pain if u don’t wear them so often, or have many, but u need to make sure u change the solution every time you wear them (or once a month if they are just sitting in the case unused). If you forget about it the next time you open the case, you might find all the solution evaporated and lenses are completely dried out and crispy xD (I did this a few times with my first pair but after flooding them with solution and leaving to re-absorb moisture, they came back to life xD but there is a high chance they will be ripped or damaged, so don’t let this happen).

So next step is wearing the lenses~

How to tell the right side?

Sometimes you can tell from the pattern (if it’s stronger on one side), but to make sure lie the lens flat on your finger and look closely at the edges – if it’s on the right side; it will be in a perfect bowl shape with the sides up, but if it’s on the wrong side; the walls will bed outwards forming a “lip”, it’s easier to tell once you have the experience xD

IN/OUT

There are many techniques of putting in and taking out lenses. I recommend doing some youtube search to see for yourself, everyone suits different things ^__^
Personally when I first got my lenses, putting in was an extreme struggle, and if you never wore contacts before it will be bad~ but u need to try and try, I promise it gets better XD

Before putting your lenses in wash your hands well with warm water and antibacterial soap (it’s best if it’s not scented or with any addiction moisturizers and things), and wipe your hands very well – it’s best to use a paper towel, cause when wiping your hands with a normal towel you will often get fibbers from the towel stuck onto your fingers and then onto the lens (and that hurts!) 

Putting the lenses in

When it comes to putting lenses in my problem was usually that when I try to place it on my eye it flips and stick onto my finger, however I found that if you wipe your finger (so it’s not wet from the solution) before placing the contact on it, it should help xD
I can't stand touching my iris directly, I know most people will tell you to hold your lids and put it directly in the centre but I don’t do it like that xD
Usually u will put contacts in before putting make-up (and that is recommended!) however I do my top lid make up and then put them in (the bottom might smudge if my eyes tear up a bit so I do it after~).

 

How I do it: I will pull down my bottom lid and look up, and then place the contact (which is lying on my index finger) onto the lower part of my eye (on the white bit), once it’s in I slowly look down so the lens moves onto the iris. Afterwards you might want to close your eye and move it around for the lens to settle in place. If it hurts remove the lens! Wash it again with solution, check if there is nothing on the lens and try again~

Taking out

It’s weird cause I hear a lot of people always saying how hard it is to take lenses out, especially at first. And I think that is the easiest, from the first time I put my lenses in – never had a problem.

So when you are trying the first time you might want place a finger on your top lid and look up; this will shift the lens lower, put your index finger, from the other hand, onto the edge of the lens and drag it down until you reach the bottom of your eye – and its out! Personally I don’t push my top lid anymore just grab the edge and push down, but it helps a lot at the beginning ^^

Final note; I  have very sensitive eyes, and I know many of my friends don’t take so much steps in taking care of their lenses and are fine~ but for me, if it’s not perfectly clean my eyes will get extremely irritated right away and I have to start over >_<

Also sorry if you need toric lenses or anything like that, I have perfect vision and wear only plano lenses so I know nothing about that~

Buying lenses:

When it comes to buying you have two choices: in stock lenses or batch (pre-order) orders.

In stock lenses are usually more expensive; you just go on a website, place your order and they will be shipped out the next day~ you will receive them soon (ranging from 3 days to 3 weeks depending on the location).

The website I recommend to everyone new to circle lenses is pinkyparadise. Ordered from them multiple times and it was very good~ and they have reasonable prices for in-stock lenses.

When it comes to batch/pre-orders you will usually have to wait even 3 months to receive your lenses; but it’s super cheap!  Basically the seller takes pre-orders from everyone and closes it once a cap is reached (usually 100 pairs), then he can order all that from a supplier and send out to you~

My favourite website here is geosupplier it’s extremely cheap! And I assure they are authentic lenses (confirmed the Geo authenticity code). Only Geo lenses thought~

Great UK based EOS lens supplier is circlelensaddiction
She also has a few in stock lenses at low prices if you can’t wait xD The website confuses me a bit atm, but she has great communication and I am planning to order more (only bought one pair of in stock lenses before)

Picnic! and other things~

Hello, hello~

I have been super lazy with everything lately xD but I have written most of my circle lenses post and it should be here this week (I hope o_o)

I also started working from Monday, it's just two hours in the evening, cleaning offices >< but I really can't get the motivation to look for a proper summer job (my mum found this for me xD she works there as a supervisor). But labour work is really not my thing xD I have zero strength and arms hurt a lot while working xD After those 3 months I will get some proper arm muscles o__o xD 

I went to my hairstylist on Saturday and shown her a picture of Yui and asked to cut my fringe like that (and of course she had to trim my poor ends as well ;__;)... and it was a total disaster >< I walked out very unhappy... see for yourself~

IT'S WAY TOO SHORT!!!

I know, my fringe grows super fast, and the shape is good, so it will be perfect in a few weeks... but atm I didn't even wanna leave the house ><  I'm probably super exaggerating, but I think fringe really affects how your face looks >3< and I can't stand to even look at it xD

Unfortunately had to leave the house the very next day~ (since a photo xD) As I organized a picnic with my dear unicorns (yes, I call my group of friends unicorns xD ... I think it came from Gundam Unicorn... don't ask o_o xD). The weather was... weird xD it was constantly cloudy, and we didn't get to see much sun, but it was pretty warm ^__^ and I think the event was a success~ at least I enjoyed my 6 hours+ of sitting and talking thoroughly~

Aaaaaand~ Tasha, being super awesome <bows> gave me a whole bag of CLAMP stuff *o* I swear I almost died of happiness when I saw it xD

Huge Chii plushie~ for some reason her hair wasnt' glued properly together so I spent the last 2 days sewing it up xD should just use fabric glue, but I really enjoy sewing, very relaxing~ xD only got half of the back hair left, all front in sewn together ^__^

haha, this was supposed to be mainly a fashion/gyaru blog... but all I write about is CLAMP xD need to work on it xD will try to balance it out soon xD

ah! actually! more on gyaru~ I ordered DECOLOG Eyelash who's (DOLLY) Eyelashes, can't wait for them!! it wasn't cheap, but not bad comparing to my usual eyelure lashes ^__^

Also my grandma is coming to UK for 3 weeks this Saturday o__o not sure how I'm gonna survive xD I love her tons, but 3 weeks! x__x I probably won't be online as much, to not appear too addicted xD plus my parents are working and brother is in school, so I will have to take care of her, and entertain xD ... wish me luck~

Nails stuff!

A few packages came in the last few days, with all the nail stuff I ordered off ebay ^__^ Still didnt use any, but thought I will share with you~

a wheel of 120 roses~ they are made of some soft rubber material, a bit smaller than I expected  (it's half the size of my rhinestone wheel) 

20 acrylic bows! probably my favourite~ cant wait to try them~ I hope they will hold on, since it's quite big

and 3 packs of nail sticker/decals~ quite pretty, plus they were only 6p each!! (and free shipping), I dont usually use stickers, but for this price, might as well~ xD   

and my rhinestone wheel~ it's pretty old, but fits with the rest xP still need to get different sizes of rhinestones and some pearls~  also should get some lace stickers soon

well I'm excited for future designs ^_^ will surely post when they are done <goes to search for inspiration

also, as I mention I went to the park with my parents on Saturday (the weather was superb~), and ended up burning my legs x__x I haven't been in the sun for ages so I didn't have any sunscreen. It was super red and painful for 2 days, but it's a nice tan colour now ^___^ the only problem... I was lying on my back, and the sun was on my left, so only 1/4th of my legs is tan >_< it's super white below and on the right side, and only left side is tan xD of dear~ I  need to even it out somehow xD xD
